Which Is The Best Tuners For Volkswagen Scirocco?
-MattFor me, car tuner is like a dressing on a fancy restaurant meal. The function is not only to make the meal more dazzling, but also spice up the taste and the feel with every bite. I came across with a couple of car tuner for the VW Scirocco and listed down 3 of the best (in my opinion) tuners. They are ABT, OETTINGER and RIEGER. Which between these 3 is the best?
Ok, our 1st look will be on the engine performance. For ABT, they increases the hp of the 1.4 TSI from 160 to 200-hp, and the 2.0 TSI from 200 to 240-hp. The OETTINGER also have the same amount of hp boosted in their 1.4 TSI engine as ABT does, but as for the 2.0 TSI engine the maximum hp is 300, 60-hp more than ABT. They are words circling around saying that OETTINGER are currently working on their new kit, which can brings up the 2.0 FSI engine to 350-hp. And it had been more than a year since the rumor was spread, so the genuine of the rumor are much doubt. As for RIEGER, they only work on the exterior of the vehicle and left the engine untouched.

For the front part of the Scirocco, I prefer the OETTINGER front spoiler with carbon lip. It looks very classy but at the same time very sporty. The carbon lip located at the bottom end of the front bumper brings more impression to the front view. As for ABT, they are just trying to hard until it mess up the sporty looks of a Scirocco should have. RIEGER comes third between these three. Their front bumper looks very much like an Audi R8 and for a car that has a lot of creditability, Scirocco should have their own personality.

The rear end of Scirocco, I grant RIEGER as the victor. Grilles on the rear skirt look fantastic and it fits straight into the twin-exhaust appearance. Although ABT doing a different approach on the exhaust placement, which the exhaust stack on top of one another (I must say it is a job well done), but the rear wing really says that ABT is once again trying too much.
Rear: [ 1st : REIGER, 2nd : OETTINGER , 3rd : ABT ]
Our final approach will be on the car’s side skirt. I admire what ABT has done with their Scirocco. The fin at the side really matches with Scirocco character. As for OETTINGER and RIEGER, their side skirt is simple but at the same time looks awesome.

My ideal VW Scirocco will have the front and engine tune by OETTINGER, side skirt from ABT and rear end from RIEGER. Or, I’ll be happy to just send the car to be tune totally by OETTINGER. I’m very much in love with their style of Scirocco. At the end of the day, these are just my opinions.
