625Hp G-Power Typhoon based on the BMW X5 (E70)
Celebrating 25 years in the tuning industry,
G-Power, a local German car tuning company produced an astonishingly 625Hp 4WD BMW X5 which can take on any of the
BMW Motorsport Series (
M-series). This eye-catching
G-Power X5 Typhoon was filled with special G-Power Black Pearl and was designed and modelled using the most modern CAD technology as well as digitalised with an in-house 3D-scanner.
The front exclusive SUV expression look was formed with the combination of extended wings and front skirt. Bigger and larger air inlet helps to improvised the overtaking prestige as well as guarenteed an optimised cooling of the 625Hp engine and larger front brakes. Hence, the aerodynamics also helps in reducing lifting forces at the front axle.
With the brawny formed seven centimetres extended wing front and rear, the G-Power Typhoon was build for maximum aerodynamics efficiency. They also make room for the special made G-Power Silverstone 23" aluminium wheels and tyres with dimensions of 11Jx23 front and 12Jx23 rear. For optimum traction and sporty handling, high-performance tyres measuring 315/25 ZR23 was developed specially by Michelin.
The rear Typhoon has been designed based on the front skirt with addition of the rear diffuser and boot lid spoiler to minimised the lifting forces at the rear. Side skirts were not just for aerodynamics of the car and the stand-out looks, they also implement five LED units underneath it which can be activated by remote control. At the upper side, stainless steel inserts with blue illuminated G-Power logo are also integrated.
Extreme performance mechanism from the G-Power SK III RS supercharger (
produced by well knowned supercharger developer, ASA ) enhanced the 4.8 liter engine performance from
270hp / 199kW to 625hp / 460kW @ 6,100rpm as well as the torque increasement of
475Nm from
225Nm to 700Nm @ 5,300rpm. ASA T1-725 charger with radial centrifugal clutch was flanged to the engine with a CNC-milled ( high-strength framework) to ensured that the engine reacts to any impact to the gas-pedal aggressively and without any delay. They produced
1.0 bar boost pressure.
Completely refined and re-engineered by G-Power, the engine itself was build with a brand new set of forged pistons (
for compression reduction ), eight balance-and weight-optimised high-performance connecting rods and crankshaft as well as eight new fuel injectors with larger fuel mass capacity. An addition of re-cooling system for the engine and water were also added. Not forgetting the new engine map (
ecu ). And also the modified-for-performance 6-speed automatic transmission with the
xDrive 4WD. Zero to hundred in 4.5 seconds and 200km/h in 16 seconds with a maximum speed of more than 300km/h.
G-Power SpeedFlow high-performance exhaust system which entirely made of stainless steel and includes special made racing headers, racing catalysts, end mufflers as well as the two striking end pipes produce an earthy sound which emphasises the acoustic of eight cylinder engine. And thanks to the two carbon intake air duct with larger and aerodynamic transverse sections.
