Team BMW Wins The 2010 Nürburgring 24-hours Race.

Team BMW Motorsports took the victory at the 2010 24 hours race at the Nürburgring-Nordschleife, after five years since the manufacturer's last victory. The number 25 BMW M3 GT2 car claimed BMW’s 19th victory at the endurance classic which was drove by Jörg Müller, Augusto Farfus, Uwe Alzen and Pedro Lamy, the car crossed the finishing line first after 154 laps of the 25.378km race-track. The Routemaster is a model of a double-decker bus which was build in 1954 by the Associated Equipment Company (AEC) and produced until 1968. The Routemaster as we know, the main bus attraction in London were introduced by London Transport back in 1956 and saw a continuous services until year 2005. Primarily it is a front-engined, rear open platform buses and a small number of variants were produced with doors and front entrances.

Northern Ireland's bus company the Wrightbus this week unveiled the design for the next-generation of London's double-decker bus. The new Routemaster will be looking something like above and was originally drawn up by Capoco Design - which has won the winning entry in the new Routemaster design contest. BMW has introduced a new color for it's recently launched 2011 BMW M3 Competition Pack ; the Frozen Black paint. Another color that is available with the Competition Package (ZCP) is the Monte Carlo Blue. - and a set of carbon fiber front splitters and boot spoiler. Also features a modified lights with glass covers in a homogeneous red colour with two harmoniously illuminating light-banks fed by LED units.
With the priced of $2,500, all you can get for the new M3 Competition Package (ZCP) is a new light wheels in the size 9 x 19 inches at the front and Y-spoke design at the rear and the pack lowers the suspension of the car by 10mm as well as a new sport mode within the Electronic Damping Control system (EDC) and a revised stability control program. The new M3 will also receive a new stop-start system which will help the owners to obtain an average fuel consumption drop of 8 percent. It is powered by diesel engine that can hardly power up all the six-wheels by using a dynamic and flexible hydraulic power transmission system.

Proton has updated their Gen2 model with a little alteration on the exterior as well as the interior and their engine too. The new Gen2 will be produce in 3 variants, which are Medium-Line (AT), High-Line (MT) and High-Line (AT) with RM54,988, RM57,488 and RM60,488 price tag respectively. While the price tag for High-Line are still unchanged, but buyer will get more value for their money with the new Gen2 Medium-Line model. The Golf GTI Adidas version : starting in June, three of the world's most recognised German badges – Volkswagen, GTI and Adidas – will for the first time meld into a combined product as the Golf GTI Adidas. The essential fact is that the GTI's technology and styling - and its interior customised in the style of the adidas brand - all produce a real dynamic mix.

Like each of these icons, the new Golf GTI Adidas will also launch with wide-ranging customised exterior and interior features. They include newly designed 18-inch "Serron" alloy wheels and a specially developed sport seat design. As on the Golf R, bi-xenon headlights and LED rear lights are aboard as standard equipment. The engine remains standard with the 210hp 2-liter turbocharged engine. According to them, the Golf GTI Adidas is likely to attain collector's status very quickly. It will be on the European market starting June and later Australia and the USA both in 3 and 5-doors versions. Rumours and speculation on the next generation of Volkswagen Beetle are still hot out there. Many has been talking about on how the next generation VW Bug is going to look-like including the engine. Many has criticised the previous version of the Volkswagen Beetle for not using the same technology as the one Ferdinand Porsche has design during the World War - the purely air-cooled engine - but they still accepted the same-looks and shape of it.
According to an independent designer, David Cordoso - who designed this next generation Volkswagen Beetle (pictures) - he envisions the New Beetle as an emissions-Free, a fully electric vehicle and judging by the latest development at the Volkswagen Group. Mok wins twice in Asian Festival of Speed (AFOS) GT3

AFOS GT3 competition that was held at the Sepang International Circuit ended with style for Malaysian Driver, Mok Weng Sun capturing a fantastic Season Opener with wins in the 1st and 2nd round of the GT3. The Porsche Club Singapore Racing's driver was in impressive form after finishing the first round with 19.594 seconds advantage from the 2nd place driver, Hong Kong's Michael Choi and continued his fine form in the 2nd round of the competition with 10.698 seconds margin from the 2nd place driver Tunku Hammam Sulung.

BMW has announced that they will produced the limited edition BMW M3 GTS which based on the E92 M3. High revving V8 engine technology at its best with larger displacement, high performance and higher torque - The M3 GTS is officially a road legal race car produced at the BMW GmbH manufacturing facility in Munich. The engine has been stroked to a 4.4-liter and produced 450hp (8,300rpm) - 30hp more than the standard M3 - 331kW and 440Nm of torque - available at an engine speed of 3,750 rpm. The weight of the car has been reduced 419lbs less than the standard M3 and runs from 0 to 100km/h in just 4.4seconds with a top speed of 305km/h. Power-to-weight ratio has been lowered to 3.4kg per hp. The transmission has been fully tuned using the 7-Speed M Dual Clutch Drive-logic gearbox developed specially for motorsport and permits the gearshift without interruption of traction for extreme use. It makes us wonder if it was ever going to be happen for John Hennessey after he announced his plans to build his own super-car, under his tuning name - Hennessey, two-years ago. The American based Texas car tuner managed to make their first official public debut for the Venom GT at the Geneva Motor Show two-months back.

The Venom GT based upon the Lotus Elise and combines with the mixture of High-Tech-Supercar, lightweight British chassis - Lotus Elise, and a powerful American power-plant - the V8 engine. Hennessey has made a few changes on the specification with what he has stated before. The curb weight were reduced from 2700lbs to 2400lbs and it is now using a new power-plant, a V8 engine called the "Hennessey V8" rather than the twin-turbocharged Viper V10 engine. The power rating increased from 1000hp to 1200hp. The Venom GT will be able to make the sprint to 60 mph in just 2.4 seconds and a listed top speed of 272mph.

The FIA has allowed them to tweek-changes their engine and we will see how it goes. While 7-times world champion, Michael Schumacher is still struggling from comeback to Formula 1 and outpace by team-mate Nico Rosberg whom managed to secured 2 podium  for the team. Latest News - GM Recalls All Hummer H3 Models

Hummer H3 - Recall For Hood Issue

General Motors has just announced a recall on it's latest Hummer H3 models which manufactured between year 2006 and 2010. The recall were made according to Consumer Reports, soon after they found-out that the H3 model have a defective hood louvers that could come loose over time and detach from the vehicle while driving.

The precaution were announced and owners need to look-out for any vibration of the louver assembly as that may lead to an indicator failure. A total of 162,000 Hummers H3 are covered under the recall, and General Motors says that technicians will apply an adhesive in order to keep the louvers from coming loose at no cost. Owners can visit the NHTSA recall site or go to the nearest dealer for support.

Audi will bring 19 of it's new design car for show during the Wörthersee Tour 2010 this week and out of the 19 cars, nine cars will be the new Audi A1 mini-car and seven of those have been customized with a special wraps and interior treatments which is something new and specially made for the Audi A1 model. The special customized features from Austrian police car to an airport guide vehicle including the white-walled flame-sprouting low rider on black steelies. Audi aims to go after the audience that has been applying this kinda customized and personalized finishes to modern Minis for the past decade. Audi will also offer a variety of competition-kits of interior and exterior bits when the car goes on sale later this year.

While Hamilton's career is currently handled by McLaren itself, the team boss, Martin Whitmarsh is pushing and encouraging Hamilton to appoint a dispassionate and independent new manager.

Ricardo Teixeira walked away unscathed from a spectacular aerial accident in the second Formula 2 race at Marrakech on Sunday.The Portuguese Angolan driver, who had scored the best result of his career with fifth place in Saturday's race, hit the back of Ivan Samarin's car and was launched skywards into a barrel roll.Teixeira's car landed the right way up just as it hit the concrete wall, and spun down the track spitting out flames from the back. He was fortunate to climb out unhurt.

A 67-years old Ralph Hudson escapes death when his foot was caught in between the accelerator and break pedals. According to him, it's all happened when he was about to reversed the car when his foot was caught in between the pedals. He was unable to remove his foot right before it hit the rear wall on the 7-stories parking-lot in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was lucky the car stopped (stuck there) and not to hurt or killed.
