Team BMW Wins The 2010 Nürburgring 24-hours Race.

Team BMW Motorsports took the victory at the 2010 24 hours race at the Nürburgring-Nordschleife, after five years since the manufacturer's last victory. The number 25 BMW M3 GT2 car claimed BMW’s 19th victory at the endurance classic which was drove by Jörg Müller, Augusto Farfus, Uwe Alzen and Pedro Lamy, the car crossed the finishing line first after 154 laps of the 25.378km race-track. This three-wheeler features a supercharged Hemi V8 that probably produces more power than any other dragster. I can't imagine myself riding this awesomely build Rocket-Stars. Thanks to Gustav and GTBoard.com again for the awesome supercar drag-races video (and pictures above) they've been recording till now. This time, it's a video of two-races between the Swedish monster and Japanese godzilla - it's the 806-hp Koenigsegg CCR Evolution againts the tuned 800-hp Switzer Nissan GTR-P800. The video you will see after the jump contains 2-races in which the Koenigsegg CCR Evo rolls its tyres in the 2nd gear and the following in the first gear. The 2010 Barcelona Spanish Grand Prix is just around the corner and all the teams were busy getting ready, today and preparation of the car since they are allowed to modified their car. We will see how Spanish Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso play his part at home-ground. Ferrari has been struggling through out the race with faulty engine. The FIA has allowed them to tweek-changes their engine and we will see how it goes. While 7-times world champion, Michael Schumacher is still struggling from comeback to Formula 1 and outpace by team-mate Nico Rosberg whom managed to secured 2 podium  for the team. Meanwhile, RedBull's Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber knew that they had to win at Spain to close the gab and looking forward to be on pole position at Barcelona. Ricardo Teixeira walked away unscathed from a spectacular aerial accident in the second Formula 2 race at Marrakech on Sunday.The Portuguese Angolan driver, who had scored the best result of his career with fifth place in Saturday's race, hit the back of Ivan Samarin's car and was launched skywards into a barrel roll.Teixeira's car landed the right way up just as it hit the concrete wall, and spun down the track spitting out flames from the back. He was fortunate to climb out unhurt.

A 67-years old Ralph Hudson escapes death when his foot was caught in between the accelerator and break pedals. According to him, it's all happened when he was about to reversed the car when his foot was caught in between the pedals. He was unable to remove his foot right before it hit the rear wall on the 7-stories parking-lot in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was lucky the car stopped (stuck there) and not to hurt or killed.

Remember the Loaded BMW M3 CSL Supercharged that records and shaved more than five-seconds off the record time set by the illustrious Pagani Zonda F to set a shattering lap record of 7:22.8 around the Nurburgring with driver Richard Göransson behind the wheel back in 2007/08? Well we brings back the video here on how he drove around the Green Hell. The M3 CSL was eventually placed for "lowest bid wins" and it is for the charity which is open to everyone as long as they are 18 and above.  Well I'm not sure who won the bid and drove back home with this Monster, but for-sure, he or she must be the luckiest person on earth. The Ferrari 599XX has blasted around the Nurburgring’s Norschleife circuit in record time, clocking a lap of just 6min 58sec - the first time a production-derived sports car has broken the 7-minute barrier.
The 772bhp V12 Ferrari, which costs around £1.2million, was piloted into the record books by Raffaele de Simone, one of Ferrari’s factory test drivers.

Video released by Honda for its new recently revealed CR-Z Hybrid Coupe for the Europe, Middle East and Africa continent. The Honda CR-Z sports-hybrid coupe will be in the market somewhere early 2011. The CR-Z comes with a hybrid powertrain that combines a 1.5-litre four-cylinder i-VTEC engine with an IMA electric motor that makes 113 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 145 Nm of torque at 4,800 rpm. Mount with a six-speed manual transmission in place of the common CVT. The electric motor meanwhile produces 13 bhp at 1,500 rpm and 78Nm at 1,000 rpm.
The film below was produced by Gaucho Productions, directed by Ben Hume-Paton and produced by Kwok Yau, the clip was shot over a day and two nights in southern Spain.

Battery Powered Mini E Race-Spec Laps Nürburgring

BMW engineering-team, team up with ex-DTM driver to conquer  Nürburgring Nordschleife under the foggy weather with BMW's latest special edition battery-powered MINI E model. They applied some weight reduction measures to the body, new tires, bigger brakes and caliper and a roll-cage. The electric powertrain underwent some recalibration for the aggressive track-use. Thomas Jäger ex-DTM race driver took the Nürburgring with the BMW MINI E, under the foggy weather and managed to set a reasonably respectable lap time around the 13 mile-long Nürburgring Nordschleife of just 9 minutes and 51.45 seconds with a maximum speed of 116.2 miles/hour. Nürburgring Nordschleife is well-known as one of the most treacherous race tracks in the world, even on the best of days. Watch the video-below.
